Mass Save Programs

Programs to improve home energy efficiency and reduce cooling costs.

For homeowners, landlords and renters, rebates and discounts on various energy efficient updates are available, including:

  • heating and cooling

  • weatherization

  • lighting/appliances

  • building/renovation of homes

For homeowners/landlords/property managers:

Partnership with Massachusetts Community Action Program Agencies &Low-Income Energy Affordability Network

Some no cost upgrades (depending on income eligibility) include:

  • replacement of appliances such as window A/C and dehumidifiers

  • sealing drafty areas in the home

For homeowners:

Interest-free, up to $25,000 loan for energy-efficient upgrades such as:

  • Central A/C

  • Heat Pumps

  • Insulation

For those in 1-4 unit home who are income eligible, this program supports free insulation upgrades. In the case that additional work needs to be done before insulation upgrades, this can be funded by the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources.
