CAFÉ Research Coordinating Center 2024 Climate and Health Conference

This poster details key projects of the Chelsea and East Boston Heat Study (C-HEAT) conducted from 2020 to the present. Including, ambient temperature monitoring to identify hot areas for potential cooling interventions, indoor temperature monitoring and surveys to explore heat adaptation strategies, a Photovoice project to highlight resident experiences for applications to local climate policy, and a preview of our occupational heat monitoring study. We provide information on additional C-HEAT materials and publicly available data, highlighting our methods of reporting and research translation to various stakeholders. Ultimately, we aim to foster informed climate policy recommendations and highlight the critical role of community involvement in devising equitable strategies for urban heat management.
